I love working with silk; it is alive, fantastic to touch and sculpt with. The vibrant Dawita dress in pomegranate raw silk opened my Spring Summer 2015-16 Collection at South African Fashion Week #SAFW.
The inspiration behind the collection is a nomadic tribe of beautiful creatures who wear silk dresses every day, knot them up and play in the ocean, They find bits of drift wood and sculpt them into jewelry. It is a new experiment in the SIES!isabelle vocabulary to take the "precious-ness" out of clothing. I always find it strange when shoppers look at a dress they obviously love and refuse to buy it because they feel it is to overdressed for everyday life. There is no such thing! Wear your beautiful pieces every day, stop saving the nice silverware.. Flaunt it, love it and look beautiful everyday.
