The Mara cape was originally sculpted in boiled wool for winter 2014. This one sleeved blanket that I could respectably wear in public soon became a staple in my wardrobe and needed to be translated into other, more versatile fabrics. I've used Ponti de Roma which has a similar weight to the boiled wool but the added benefit that it does not need to be dry-cleaned. It was also fairly successful in a printed heavy weight knit. As indicated it can be wrapped in a wide variety of ways depending on the weather or your desire to snuggle-and-hide.
